You can use the Library’s Citation Builder for help citing some types of sources.

To begin citing, the 9th edition of MLA states that citations should have 9 core elements, to be included or excluded depending on relevance to the source.

The 9 Core Elements are:

1. Author.
2. Title of source.
3. Title of container,
4. Contributor,
5. Version,
6. Number,
7. Publisher,
8. Publication Date,
9. Location.

Note: Each element is followed by the correct punctuation for citations.
