Now that we no longer have access to a database or journal, how can I get access to the content?
Many items (articles, books, videos) in databases that we had to cancel will still be available via Prospector or Interlibrary Loan. Prospector is a catalog of items in Colorado and Wyoming libraries and can be used to request physical items, such as books or DVDs, from those libraries. Items typically take one to two weeks to arrive at Auraria Library.
Interlibrary Loan allows Auraria campus students, faculty, and staff to request to borrow books, articles and other materials not owned, or not available, at Auraria Library. The Library taps a nation-wide network to borrow needed items. In most cases, articles and book chapters are delivered electronically to your Interlibrary Loan account within 48 hours. Physical items (print books, DVDs, etc.) will be delivered to Auraria Library’s Ask Us Desk for pick up and can take two to six weeks to arrive.
